Christopher Wilson from Semilong in Northampton remains in hospital In crete, Greece today following a holiday accident last week. Mr Wilson travelled to Greece without insurance and his family are facing a £27k medical bill for his hospital treatment so far.
Mr Wilson was enjoying a five-day break to the Greek island with his wife Donna as part of her 50th birthday celebrations when he was struck by a car as the pair crossed the road.
The day after the pair arrived, hoping for a relaxing break, Mr Wilson was involved in the holiday accident. His family back in the UK are concerned not only for his wellbeing, but also the significant costs of getting him treated and then back to the UK.
Since the accident last Friday the 50-year-old, of Semilong, Northampton, has been in a medically-induced coma in a hospital on the island while doctors determine the extent of his injuries.
The circumstances of the holiday accident are not clear, but his family are doing all they can to get him home as soon as possible.
