British Family Killed in Car Crash in Jamaica
Friday, 05 August 2011 09:53

Tragic news from Jamaica after three British holiday makers were killed in a car crash in Kingston.

The family were travelling in a minibus on the way to Montego Bay when they were hit by a pick-up truck.

Kathleen Rawlinson died at the scene while Gary Bamford and Mr Bamford's daughter, Caisie Muller were pronounced dead on arrival at Falmouth hospital. Also fatally injured was a close family friend from Canada who had joined them on holiday.

A fourth family member is currently in serious but stable condition in hospital, while two others escaped with minor injuries.

The accident occurred when the minibus, being driven by Mr Bamford, was involved in a head-on collision with a local pick-up truck between Kingston and Montego Bay.

Added to the tragedy was the fact the Mrs Rawlinson was wheelchair bound having been involved in another holiday car accident in Spain years ago.
