While on holiday in Palma Majorca, our client suffered severe cuts and bruises to his arm after it was trapped in the doors of a lift. We won him £2,500 compensation for his personal injury holiday claim.

In an incident that is more the stuff of nightmares, our client found himself trapped half inside and half outside a lift when his arm was trapped between the two doors after they slammed shut.

At the time he went to enter the lift it was empty and there was no warning that the doors were about to close, either visual or audible. The doors closed with such force that the client was pinned between the doors which did not give or retract. He was able to force his way into the lift but still had his right arm trapped between the two metal doors. It was only when he forced his other arm through the gap between that he was able to push the button to open the doors and release his arm.

He was left with deep cuts and bruising from the doors and, when the wounds healed, scarring on his forearm. We were able to win the client £2,500 for his injuries by making a holiday compensation claim against the tour operator as he was on a package holiday to Majorca.
