We were instructed by a client who was involved in a road traffic accident in Florida. As a result of the accident, she sustained various fractures and a punctured lung. Although a full recovery was made from her physical injuries, she suffered from a significant lack of confidence as a result of the accident.

After our initial investigations, we were able to ascertain that the vehicle that was at fault for the accident had a policy of insurance limited to US$100,000. Further, the car in which the client was travelling had a policy of insurance of a further US$100,000. This was payable, even though the driver was not at fault. We were successful in recovering the full amount under each of the policies because of our knowledge of the US system.
