What should have been a relaxing cruise ended in disaster for our client who we won £9,500 compensation for a personal injury claim after falling on a cruise ship.
Our client was enjoying the weather on deck of a Thomson’s Holiday cruise ship when she got up to get a drink. As she was walking across deck she tripped and fell over the raised edge of a rubber mat that had been placed on the floor in preparation for a cocktail making demonstration that was due to take place.
Through age and wear and tear the mat had started to curl up at the edges making it a tripping risk for anyone walking by. Despite this there were no warning signs or cones to draw attention to the mat nor any barrier or cordon around it.
Injury on cruise ship compensation
We helped her to win £9,500 after her injury on the cruise ship in order to pay for her recovery, her expenses and as compensation. Our client’s fall on the cruise ship caused severe bruising that led to her knee, which she had in the past problems with, becoming substantially worse after the fall.
